Eleanor Roosevelt: Across a Barrier of Fear, May 30, 2018
Held at the Old Church, the play by Sharon Whitney and starring Jane VanBoskirk, drew a full house. The title is from a statement made by Eleanor Roosevelt, summing up her life: “Everything I ever did was always accomplished across a barrier of fear.” Proceeds from this fundraising event, which was open to the public, support our local scholarships. In the Pink! Local Scholarship Fundraiser, June 2016
An afternoon of blush wines and pink champagnes, accompanied by chocolate-covered strawberries, French champagne biscuits (cookies) and lush fruits of the season while Michael Alberty, owner of Storyteller Wine Company, talked about the history of Oregon wines.

Held annually beginning August 26, 2014 through 2018
An afternoon at the Movies was held to celebrate the passage of the 19th amendment on August 26, 1920. Katja von Garnier's "IRON JAWED ANGELS" tells the remarkable and little-known story of a group of passionate and dynamic young women, led by Alice Paul (Hilary Swank) and her friend Lucy Burns (Frances O'Connor), who put their lives on the line to fight for American women's right to vote. “Iron Jawed Angels” was nominated for five Emmy Awards and was selected as the official premier for the Sundance Film Festival in 2004.
Wine Tasting Fundraisers 2012, 2013 & 2014
Wine tasting fundraisers have been hosted by Michael Alberty for several years, and most recently by Red Slate Wine Company. The event is open to friends, prospective members and others who would like to support the Portland Community College scholarship fund.
